🌍 To celebrate International Women’s Day, we’re recognizing the impact of women in mining 🌍
Women are making a powerful impact in the mining industry, despite being underrepresented. Various surveys, including those by the World Bank and McKinsey, show that gender diversity leads to better financial and operational outcomes, with mining companies that embrace diversity seeing:
✅ 23% higher profit margins in top mining companies
✅ 67% fewer workplace injuries
✅ 11% higher productivity
Beyond performance, women bring fresh perspectives to mining, driving environmental responsibility, sustainability, and technological advancement. From leading digital transformation to advocating for community-friendly practices, their role in shaping the industry’s future is undeniable.
Yet, challenges remain—women still make up only 8-17% of the global mining workforce, with fewer in leadership roles. Tackling these barriers isn't just the right thing to do—it’s key to unlocking the full potential of the industry.
At FACE Mining Services, we’re proud to celebrate one of our own— @rach0akley
