Withdrawal of Services – FACE Mining Services from Corica Mining Services

Over the past 12+ months, FACE Mining Services has been proud to support Corica in securing their first underground mining contract at the world-class Rosh Pinah operation in Namibia, owned by Appian Capital.

As this engagement concludes, Face Mining Services is no longer associated with the Corica operation. We are proud of the outcomes achieved and extend our best wishes to the Corica team.

FACE remains fully committed to advancing underground mining across Africa and beyond — with a continued focus on performance, people, and partnership.

OceanaGold Waihi and Macraes Operations

Ongoing activity at OceanaGold’s Waihi and Macraes sites has kept our team consistently engaged, with strong demand for skilled personnel and support. Through careful planning, practical solutions, and a capable workforce, we’re helping drive operational efficiency and achieve improved outcomes underground at both sites.

With demand increasing for both labour, equipment and consumables, our focus remains firmly on delivering outcome-driven support and maintaining the highest standards of safety and productivity. We value our ongoing collaboration with the OceanaGold team, working together to ensure the Waihi and Macraes mine meets its production and development goals.

Consumables Now In Stock: PumpEng Range

Face Mining Services is excited to announce that we now have a range of PumpEng products in stock in New Zealand to better serve our clients. This includes the robust JetGuard submersible pumps as well as PumpEng consumables like repair kits, wet-end kits, and other compatible parts. By having these items readily available on the ground in NZ, we can provide faster delivery and support for your dewatering needs without the wait – keeping your operations running smoothly.

In partnership with PumpEng we’ve seen how the JetGuard pumps’ innovative design extends pump life in harsh conditions, reducing downtime for our mining operations.

We’re also excited to introduce the MineTuff range of submersible pumps and parts, further expanding our submersible offering. This includes the powerful MineTuff 37kW and 90kW pumps, providing even more options to support operations with compatible parts for existing fleets.

We’re pleased to make the full PumpEng range accessible to our NZ clients – it’s all part of our commitment to quality solutions and responsive service.

Ventilation Trials – Optimising Underground Airflow

Our ventilation trials in New Zealand are now moving ahead. The specialised vent bags have arrived and are en route to OceanaGold’s Macraes, Waihi and Federation Mine for trials.

In partnership with Wells Ventilation, we are deploying these vent bag systems to optimise airflow and safety in the underground workings, and we look forward to validating their performance in real mine conditions.

This trial is an exciting step in enhancing environmental conditions for our New Zealand clients and could pave the way for broader implementation of advanced ventilation solutions.
