Face Mining Services Newsletter
G’day everyone,
As we close out 2025, it’s a great time to reflect on what has been an incredible year for Face Mining Services. We’ve delivered meaningful outcomes across our sites—deepening key client relationships, expanding support in New Zealand, and strengthening our focus on safety, innovation, and operational efficiency.
Looking ahead, we’re excited to carry this momentum into 2026 with a continued focus on safety, innovation, and exceptional service. But before the new year begins, let’s recap a few key year-end highlights as we wrap up 2025:
OceanaGold Macraes and Waihi Operations
Our long-standing partnership with OceanaGold’s Waihi and Macraes Operations continued to be a major highlight, reflecting strong, consistent demand for our specialist support and personnel. Through a highly capable workforce, we helped drive significant operational efficiencies and achieve improved outcomes across both underground sites.
Our focus remained firmly on delivering outcome-driven support while maintaining the highest standards of safety and productivity. We deeply value our ongoing partnership with the OceanaGold team, working together to help them meet their critical production and development goals.
We’re also working closely with OceanaGold Waihi to extend support into training and development in 2026— supporting upskilling across their underground workforce.
The outlook for the remains strong, and we’ll be supporting it as best we can—delivering experienced personnel and flexible solutions to meet site needs.
With the Waihi North WKP Project now officially approved and awarded, we’ll be supporting the project in any way we can alongside our valued business partners—as it progresses into development. 🔗 Read the announcement
Ventilation Trials Underway Across New Zealand Operations
In partnership with Wells Ventilation, we commenced on-site trials of new vent bags at OceanaGold’s Macraes and Waihi sites. These trials aim to improve underground airflow and validate system performance in real-world conditions.
This is part of our broader push to enhance site ventilation strategies across our projects—ensuring better air quality, reduced energy use, and safer working conditions. We’ll continue to explore opportunities for refinement and wider rollout into 2026.
PumpEng Consumables in New Zealand
Ventilation Trials Underway Across New Zealand Operations
FACE Mining Services expanded our consumables offering in New Zealand by bringing a range of PumpEng submersible pumps and parts into local stock. This also includes MineTuff series range, offering reliable options with compatible parts for existing fleets.
This initiative marked an important step in strengthening our commitment to practical, efficient, and readily accessible dewatering solutions for underground operations throughout New Zealand. The partnership is now backed by Franklin Electric, which allows us to expand our service reach and unlock new opportunities and broader capability offerings.
This year, we have new workshop and storage facility in Tauriko, North Island. This gives us improved turnaround capability, storage efficiency, and consistent supply delivery for operations across the region—strengthening our NZ-wide footprint.
2025 Sponsorship Highlights
We’re committed to supporting the communities we work within, and 2025 saw us continue that focus through sponsorships and local initiatives.
Zac Campbell: We proudly supported talented young NZ archer Zac Campbell on his journey to the 2025 Youth World Archery Championships in Winnipeg. Competing against top talent from 60+ countries, Zac represented his country and community with pride.
Matamata Charity Golf Day: In September, we sponsored a local charity golf event at Matamata Golf Club, supporting the Front Foot It Foundation. Funds raised helped support youth suicide prevention services—an issue close to our values.

We’d also like to give a shoutout to Marc Anderson, who launched PeakCPM Services this year. PeakCPM Services specialise in improving drilling performance, reducing downtime, and delivering operator and fitter training, along with drill consumables, equipment rebuilds, and hire solutions. Marc is now focused on expanding capability through his new venture, and we wish him all the best as that journey continues.
Looking Ahead:
At FACE, we’re also exploring new aligned partnerships and services to further expand our offering in 2026 and beyond. With the new year fast approaching, Face Mining Services is excited to announce a new venture: Wounded Bull Partners.
Stay tuned for more information as we prepare to introduce Wounded Bull Partners, an exciting new chapter in 2026.
